I’m very happy to announce that GDLI is promoting the first London show for Southamptons The Notes at Old Blue Last on May 31st and it’s free!

I’m excited to have them up as I’ve been enjoying their music for a bit.

‘The Notes’ formed in March 2010 whilst studying at university in Southampton, although they are originally from London and Essex.  Sam and Aaron are studying Popular Music and Record Production and Lauren is studying English. 

    The songs were uploaded to Myspace only a couple of days after they were written and recorded, and within an hour Holiday Records arranged a release of their single ‘Those Days, Those Nights’ and its B-side ‘Porphyria’s Lover’ for the following day.  This attracted a lot of attention for the band, and they were soon featured on internet blogs and their songs had hundreds of plays on Myspace each day.  They have now written and recorded nine songs and are currently practising for live performances starting from May 2010.
